Perhaps Joe Burrow can move out of his parents’ basement soon!
On Monday evening, ESPN’s Field Yates reported details of the contract the former LSU star is expected to sign with the Bengals over the coming weeks.
Per Yates, the deal will be for 4 years (with a fifth-year option) and is worth more than $36 million, with nearly $24 million of that as a signing bonus.
That’s certainly not a bad payday for the No. 1 overall pick who will be heading to Cincinnati to start preparations for the 2020 season as soon as stay-at-home orders are lifted and teams can resume operations.
With Burrow’s National Championship ring, Heisman trophy and slew of record breaking stats, a big pay day in the NFL was due.
