Jeopardy Player Wins Over $1 Million!

Matt Amodio’s total earnings on “Jeopardy!” crossed the seven-figure threshold Friday, as the Yale PhD student won his 28th game.

Amodio, who has outlasted six hosts — and ignores grammar conventions by starting every question with “What’s” instead of “Who is” or “What is” — bumped up his total winnings to $1,004,001 with a $48,000 haul.

The 30-year-old is the third winningest player on the show’s history, behind only James Holzhauer and Ken Jennings, who is now slated to guest host in tandem with Mayim Bialik.

Amodio’s stunning run comes amid upheaval at the show. Executive producer and anointed full-time host Mike Richards was recently fired after past sexist comments came to light.

Amodio has delighted audiences by getting off to huge leads, finding “Daily Doubles” and betting big, and then protecting his advantage.

He is first to buzz in on more than half the answers, and has a 90 percent success rate at guessing the questions, according to a “Jeopardy!” fan site.
