A truly incredible story was shared about Dennis Rodman in “The Last Dance” documentary by ESPN.
During the 1997-1998 season, which was the last the Michael Jordan/Scottie Pippen/Phil Jackson Chicago Bulls spent together, Dennis Rodman wanted a break after helping to carry the team in Pippen’s absence. Jackson granted Rodman permission to go to Las Vegas for a few days during that time even though it was the middle of the season.
Jordan warned against the trip, saying Rodman wouldn’t return in time. So guess what happened?
“I went to f—ing Vegas,” Rodman recalled.
Rodman partied with his then-girlfriend Carmen Electra, a popular actress and Playboy model.
“It was on, the party was starting right away,” said Electra. “[Rodman] was wild.”
The trip last beyond the 48 hours Jackson approved, leading Jordan to go to Vegas to get Rodman.
Jordan says he got Rodman out of bed with Electra.
“There’s a knock on the door. It’s Michael Jordan, and I hid. I didn’t want him to see me like that, so I’m hiding behind the couch with covers on me,” Electra recalled.
